Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data The Brass Estate ("we") collects when you use thebrassestate.com, and how we use it.

The Brass Estate is a brand of Malik Brother's and Company, a proprietorship of Masoom Ali. Registered address: Kaliyar Road, near Ravidas Mandir, Mehwarkalan, Roorkee, District Haridwar, Uttarakhand 247667, India. GSTIN 05BXMPA7108K1ZH.

What we collect

• Order details — name, email, phone, shipping address and the items you buy, so we can fulfil and support your order.
• Payment — payments are processed by Razorpay. Your card or wallet details are entered on their secure page and are never stored on our servers. We receive only a payment reference and status.
• Messages — anything you send us through the contact form or by email.
• Account data (optional) — if you create an account: your name, email, a securely hashed password (we can never see it), phone, saved addresses, wishlist, saved cart, order history, reviews and messages you send about an order, your language preference, and the date you accepted these terms. You can shop without an account.
• Technical data — a session cookie that remembers your cart and language, and standard server logs.

How we use it

To process and ship orders, send order and shipping confirmations, answer your questions, prevent fraud, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Accounts and marketing emails

Accounts are for people aged 18 or over. Marketing emails (new pieces, offers, wishlist alerts, cart reminders) are sent only if you tick the separate opt-in box at sign-up or in your account settings; you can untick it at any time, and every such email includes a way to stop them. Order, shipping, password and account emails are transactional and are sent regardless.

Sharing

We share data only with the services needed to run the store: our payment provider (Razorpay), shipping couriers, and our email provider.

Your rights

You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we must keep for tax purposes) by emailing Info.thebrassestate@gmail.com.

If you have an account, you can do this yourself under “Details & privacy”: download everything we hold about you as a file, edit your details, or delete the account. Deleting removes your login, profile, addresses, wishlist and saved cart immediately. Order records are kept for the period required by accounting law (currently 7 years) and are no longer linked to any account; published reviews keep only your first name and last initial.

Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie for your cart, checkout and sign-in, a cookie for your chosen language, and a CSRF security token. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.
